February 21, 2024: Looming Deadlines & Upcoming Appropriations Webinar
We’re less than 10 days from the first deadline to avoid a government shutdown on March 1. However, that’s not the only deadline looming for Congress.
When Congress kicked the can on expiring programs last year, it bunched several new expiration dates together over March and April. We outline these new dates to watch in the graphic below, “Mapping 2024 in Congress.” This illustrates how tight timelines are over the next couple of weeks and months and which program extensions may once again go on a government funding bill.
With both the House and Senate in recess, there’s been little news on the developing FY2024 spending deal this week.
