Amendments to the FY 2022 Budget Resolution
Last Updated: August 11th, 2021
Around 4 am on August 11, the Senate passed the FY 2022 budget resolution (S.Con.Res. 14) on a party-line 50-49 vote.
The budget resolution included reconciliation instructions that will allow Congress to pass major components of the Build Back Better package while bypassing the Jim Crow filibuster in the Senate.
During the budget debate, the Senate considered 47 amendments and adopted 29, but the most important part of the budget resolution—the reconciliation instructions—did not change.
