Workers’ Rights
From the rise of the gig economy to decades of attacks on collective bargaining to stagnating wages and inequity in the workplace, we must strengthen rights for workers in every part of our economy.
We fight to expand the right to organize and ensure that every worker has access to a union, a living wage and a safe and equitable work environment. Working people want a voice on the job and a say in their workplaces and we stand with them. Millions of Americans are working full time and still struggling to make ends meet because the federal minimum wage is stuck at $7.25 and millions of people are paid a sub-minimum wage that’s as low as $2.13 an hour. We need $15 and a union for every worker. We know when workers have a say in their workplaces, their lives and their companies improve. In far too many workplaces, workers -- especially women and people of color -- face harassment and violence, unequal pay, wage theft, dangerous conditions and lack safe and sick time, paid leave and more. We fight for justice for workers everywhere.
